Permaculture

Permaculture is a kind design system based on ethicsa nd design principles can be used to establish, design, manage and improve all efforts made by individuals, households and communities towards a sustainable future. According to David Holmgren, these concepts are adapted from Permaculture Principless and Pathways Beyond Sustainability. We can make the transition into a world of less available energy, making our local communities more resilient to the converging issues by adopting the Permaculture.

According to Wikipedia, Permaculture is an approach to designing human settlements and agricultural systems that are modeled on the relationships found in natural ecologies. It  is sustainable land use design. This is based on ecological and biological principles, often using patterns that occur in nature to maximise effect and minimise work. Permaculture aims to create stable, productive systems that provide for human needs, harmoniously integrating the land with its inhabitants.
 the

Principles of permaculture are draw heavily on the practical application of ecological theory to analyze the characteristics and potential relationships between design elements.

Each element of a design is carefully analyzed in terms of its needs, outputs, and properties. For example chickens need water, moderated microclimate and food, producing meat, eggs, and feathers as well as manure which can help break up hardsoil hardpan.

Design elements are then assembled in relation to one another so that the products of one element feed the needs of adjacent elements. Synergy between design elements is achieved while minimizing waste and the demand for human labor or energy. Exemplary permaculture designs evolve over time, and can become extremely complex mosaics of conventional and inventive cultural systems that produce a high density of food and materials with minimal input.

While techniques and cultural systems are freely borrowed from organic agriculture, sustainable forestry, horticulture, agroforestry, and the land management systems of indigenous peoples, permaculture's fundamental contribution to the field of ecological design is the development of a concise set of broadly applicable organizing principles that can be transferred through a brief intensive training.

A interesting song to let u more easily understand what is Permaculture

NAVIGATION DESIGN

Navigation Board in Putrajaya Sentral
PIC 1
PIC 2

PIC 3

This is a navigation board of Putrajaya Sentral. It is a bus terminal, usually you can see a lot of travelers, international students and workers in Putrajaya Sentral. You can take bus, taxi, or KLIA Transit from Putrajaya Sentral to the place that you want. Other that, there also have some shops there, for people to pass the time when they are waiting for their bus or KLIA Transit.

As we can see, all the navigation broads in Putrajaya Sentral are using Malay and English language and icons of the place to guide people go to the place they want, example like the counter of KLIA transit, shops, information counter and so on. By using 2 types of languages, so that the travelers from other country can easily understand where they should go and would not get lose in Putrajaya Sentral. Even though some people cannot understand both languages they also can follow the icon of the place they want.
According to the PIC 1, that is a navigation board at Putrajaya Sentral G floor. We have to turn left to reach the KLIA Transit counter , taxi counter, toilets, information counter, shops, front door, park and ride but if you familiar with the Putrajaya Sentral you can use the escalators that you can see in the picture to reach this few place. That is faster way for people to go to the KLIA Transit counter, toilets, shops, and information counter. That is a weakness for this navigation board, because we have to sake for the travelers and the students they were back from their home town. They have to bring a lot of baggage so it is not suitable for them to detour.

Now let us see the navigation board in first floor of Putrajaya Sentral, distance of the navigation board A that we see in PIC 2 is quite near with the next navigation board, Navigation board B, so that people will not fidget about where they are and they also can get to their place faster. If you go straight on u will see the navigation board B (PIC 3) and you can already saw some shops and KLIA Transit counter and information counter are round there.

Study of Assignment 2--- Exhibition Design

This is Sony exhibition as we can see they have Laser light irradiate on the wall

designer use the shape of tree to design the product display area

interesting design of wall and the irradiation of information on wall

designer use theme colour to design this exhibition. This color can  attract more people

a simple exhibition
designer use blinn method for this exhibition booth it look classic and natral

the shape of support of booth is very special and designer can put print ads on it.
It can save the space of exhibition to put all the banner  around the exhibition
the lighting of this exhibition booth is beautiful, and they have 2 floor.
